Rick Hess

Rick Hess is a founder and Co-Managing Partner of Evolution Media. Rick oversees global investments in the sports, media, entertainment, and technology sectors for the investment company and he sources, structures, and executes transactions for a variety of advisory clients in the media, sports, and entertainment industries.

Prior to founding Evolution in 2008, Rick led the Film Finance group at CAA. Under his leadership the group packaged, raised financing for, or sold more than 125 feature films, including Academy Award-winning films. Previously, he held executive positions at TriStar Pictures and The William Morris Agency, and was President of Phoenix Pictures and Propaganda Films.

Rick is the Chairman of the Board of Inner-City Filmmakers, a non-profit production education program for low income students and that then helps them find jobs in the entertainment industry. He also serves on the Board of Directors for LA’s Promise and Chrysalis and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Rick is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bob Stanley

Bob Stanley is a Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Evolution Media. Bob oversees global investments in the sports, media, entertainment, and technology sectors for the investment company, as well as sources, structures, and executes transactions for a variety of advisory clients in the media, sports, and entertainment industries.

Prior to founding Evolution in 2008, Bob was a Director and Head of Merrill Lynch’s Entertainment & Intellectual Property Structured Finance Group. In this role, he managed a group of finance professionals and a portfolio in excess of $900 million, which originated in excess of $2.6 billion in transactions. He was responsible for the group’s strategy and transaction originating, structuring, and syndicating. At Merrill Lynch, he executed key transactions including financing for Marvel Entertainment, Summit Entertainment, and MGM/United Artists.

Bob graduated from Fairfield University with a B.S. in Finance and received his M.B.A from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management.

Alan Gold

Alan Gold is a Partner and Evolution’s Head of Sports Media. He has negotiated more than $50 billion of deals during his career as a sports and media executive.

During his tenure at Evolution Media, Alan has advised premier content owners, including professional sports leagues and teams, college conferences, and international federations on their media rights and business strategy.

Clients have included the International Olympic Committee, National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, PGA of America, PGA Tour, Riot Games, Pac-12 Conference, Los Angeles Dodgers, Texas Rangers, and Boston Celtics, among other leading teams/associations.

Prior to joining Evolution, Alan was a Managing Director of the United States Tennis Association (USTA), where he led its corporate development expansion. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of Tennis Channel, spearheading the launch of the US Open Series.

Previously, Alan was an executive at the National Football League, overseeing television, new media, and corporate development activities for the league outside of the United States. He also served as Head of Business Affairs for NFL Enterprises.

Alan graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Vermont and received a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

David Pogoda

David Pogoda is a founder and Partner at Evolution Media. David is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of media and entertainment M&A and investments. He also oversees all internal operations of Evolution Media including accounting, audit, operations and fund management.

Prior to founding Evolution, David was a Vice President at Merrill Lynch’s Entertainment & Intellectual Property Structured Finance Group, where he focused on capital solutions for clients in the IP and Entertainment space. Previously, he served as a Vice President at Cerberus Capital Management in the Special Situation Lending division. In this role, he managed a $400 million portfolio, while focusing on underwriting, structuring, and executing debt transactions.

David graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland and spent one year at the London School of Economics.

Salim Mitha

Salim Mitha is a Partner at Evolution Media and his operational and investment experience derives from launching, running and successfully exiting three separate technology start-up companies, as well as from senior roles in consulting, banking and technology.

Prior to joining Evolution, Salim was Executive Vice President at Playtika-Caesars Interactive, which grew to be the largest mobile social casino gaming company in the world.

Salim received his B.S. Economics from Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Salim also speaks fluent Spanish.

Carmen Carpenter

Carmen Carpenter is a Managing Director at Evolution Media and is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of media and entertainment M&A and financing transactions.

Prior to joining Evolution, Carmen served as Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Entertainment Industries Group, where she oversaw the bank’s portfolio of more than $1 billion in direct commitments to companies in the content production and distribution sector. Previously, Carmen held similar positions as Director at Royal Bank of Scotland’s Entertainment and Media Group and Director at GE Capital’s Media, Communications and Entertainment Group. She began her career at Comerica Bank’s Entertainment Group, where she managed a portfolio of single-picture project loans, print and advertising financings, and corporate facilities.

Carmen holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.

Ian Doody

Ian Doody is a Principal at Evolution Media and is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of investments. With more than a decade of experience in the media and finance industries, Ian is focused on the company’s entertainment, media, and sports investment activities.

Prior to joining Evolution, Ian worked at a start-up media company, Plum TV, where he guided business development initiatives, programming strategy and content creation, and branded entertainment partnerships. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst for Birinyi Associates, an equity research firm and hedge fund in Westport, CT, and Portfolio Manager and Trader at Sea Carriers Capital, a hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT.

Ian holds a B.S. from the Callaway School of Business at Wake Forest University.

Caroline Rebello

Caroline Rebello is a Principal at Evolution Media, and focuses on sports media advisory and sports M&A advisory. Past clients include the Minnesota Wild, Vegas Golden Knights, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Brooklyn Nets, Sacramento Kings, Anaheim Ducks, and Nashville Predators.

Prior to joining Evolution, Caroline served as a Senior Associate at SCP Worldwide, the holding company of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and MLS’ Real Salt Lake. In this role, she evaluated and executed new and strategic investments across sports, media, entertainment, and real estate. She also managed the monetization of media broadcast rights in North America for the CONMEBOL 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament. Previously, Caroline was an Investment Associate at TowerBrook Capital Partners, a transatlantic private equity firm with $2.5 billion in assets under management. She began her career as a member of the Global Consumer Group in the Investment Banking Division of Citigroup Global Markets, executing more than $20 billion in transactions.

Caroline graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Fabian Stechel

Fabian Stechel is a Principal at Evolution Media, and focuses primarily on sports media advisory. During his career he has negotiated and advised on more than $8 billion in media deals. Clients have included the International Olympic Committee (IOC), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), Riot Games / League of Legends eSports, PGA of America, Ryder Cup, Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and the Pac-12 Conference among other top sports organizations.

Prior to joining Evolution, Fabian served as Project Manager at SCP Worldwide, a sports, media and entertainment company based in NY and the holding company of the NHL’s St. Louis Blues and MLS’ Real Salt Lake. In this role, he worked on sports media investment opportunities across all media distribution platforms.

Fabian received a M.S. in International Business from the University of Maastricht, The Netherlands graduating among the top 10% of his class. He also attended the University of California at Berkeley for study abroad. Fabian speaks both German and English fluently.

Kirill Savitski

Kirill Savitski is a Vice President at Evolution Media, and focuses on advising and investing in companies in the media, sports, and entertainment sectors. Kirill serves on the board of directors of the Clio Awards, Affinity Group, and as an observer on the board of directors of Mass Appeal.

Prior to joining Evolution, Kirill worked in the Investment Banking group at Macquarie Capital, where he executed more than $10 billion of transactions, while focusing on infrastructure, renewable energy, and project finance advisory.

Kirill graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with a B.S. in Finance and Economics. Kirill speaks both Russian and English fluently.

Anubhav Srivastava

Anubhav Srivastava is a Vice President at Evolution Media and is responsible for origination, structuring, and execution of media and entertainment M&A and financing transactions.

Prior to joining Evolution, Anubhav was an Associate Director in the Strategy and Business Development group at 20th Century Fox. In this role, he evaluated financial and strategic merit of potential investments, acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, and the development, evaluation and implementation of strategic initiatives across Fox’s theatrical, home entertainment, television, and digital businesses. Prior to Fox, Anubhav was an Investment Banking Associate at Deutsche Bank’s Media and Telecom group, where he structured and executed a wide-range of transactions including M&A, defense tactics and capital raises from public and private sources. He started his career as a TMT consultant at Capgemini Ernst & Young.

Anubhav holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Tucker Brown

Tucker Brown is a Vice President at Evolution Media, and is responsible for strategic advisory engagements and principal investment origination across the media, entertainment, and sports industries. Tucker has worked extensively on strategic M&A and capital raising transactions for content production businesses.

Prior to joining Evolution, Tucker worked in the Investment Banking group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Financial Institutions Group, focusing on financial technology mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising.

Tucker graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in International Business and Mandarin from Duke University.

James Moore

James Moore is the Vice President of Finance for Evolution Media and is responsible for accounting, treasury, and reporting operations. Mr. Moore also assists portfolio companies with these functions.

Prior to joining Evolution, James was an Associate Vice President at Ares Management, where he managed the accounting and reporting requirements for a number of funds. Prior to Ares, James was a Senior Manager in the Alternative Investment Solutions group at State Street in Toronto, Canada.

James received his Bachelor of Sciences with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Tavish Zausner-Mannes

Tavish Zausner-Mannes is the Vice President of Operations at Evolution Media, serving as the Designated Compliance Principal for the firm’s Broker-Dealer, and is responsible for handling all Compliance and Regulatory matters.

Prior to joining Evolution, Tavish served as an Assistant Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, where he worked as part of the Trade Compliance Group supporting multiple Private Wealth Management divisions.

Tavish graduated from Skidmore College with a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics.

Yash Chopra

Yash is Senior Associate at Evolution Media and is responsible for companywide strategic initiatives, investor relations, international growth opportunities, and portfolio company monitoring as well as the origination, structuring, and execution of investments.

Prior to joining Evolution Media, Yash began his career in the Corporate Finance group at Creative Artists Agency.

Yash graduated from Washington University in St. Louis’ Olin Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance.

Michael LoFaso

Michael LoFaso is a Vice President of Evolution Media and is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of investments, as well as portfolio company monitoring.

Prior to joining Evolution, Michael worked at Riverstone Holdings, where he focused on private equity leveraged buyouts and growth equity transactions. He began his career as an analyst in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, focused on M&A transactions and capital raises for public and private security offerings.

Michael received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colgate University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Economics.

Michael DiLorenzo

Michael DiLorenzo is a Vice President at Evolution Media and is responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of investments, as well as portfolio company monitoring.

Prior to joining Evolution, Michael worked at Shamrock Capital, where he focused on leveraged buyout and growth equity transactions for Media, Entertainment, and Communications businesses, as well as the Growth Equity group of Kayne Anderson, where he focused on growth equity transactions for enterprise software businesses. Michael began his career as an analyst in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank, where he was a member of the Media & Telecom Group.

Michael graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh with a BSBA in Finance and Accounting and a minor in Economics.

Jessica Wang

Jessica Wang is a Senior Associate at Evolution Media, and assists with the origination, structuring, and execution of investments.

Prior to joining Evolution, Jessica worked in the Investment Banking group at Deutsche Bank as a part of the Technology, Media and Telecom group.

Jessica graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce with a B.S. in Finance and Management.

David Ma

David Ma is a Senior Associate at Evolution Media and assists with the origination, structuring, and execution of sports, media, and entertainment M&A and financing transactions.

Prior to joining Evolution, David worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for Imperial Capital.

David graduated from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University with a B.S. in Finance and International Business, as well as a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.

Evan Deahl

Evan Deahl is a Senior Associate at Evolution Media, and assists with origination, structuring, and execution of sports, media, and entertainment M&A and financing transactions.

Prior to joining Evolution, Evan was in the Investment Banking group at MTS Partners, providing M&A advisory and capital raising services.

Evan is a graduate of the Roy and Diana Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management at the University of Pennsylvania, holding a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School and a B.A. in Biological Basis of Behavior from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Jay Phillips

Jay Phillips is a Senior Associate at Evolution Media and focuses on sports media advisory and sports M&A advisory.

Prior to joining Evolution, Jay worked as a Financial Analyst at Tribune Media. In that role he provided strategic and operational support for senior leadership across a portfolio of news, entertainment, and sports programming.

Jay graduated Cum Laude with a B.S.M. in Finance from Tulane University.

Torey Korsunsky

Torey Korsunsky is a Senior Associate at Evolution Media and focuses on sports media advisory and sports M&A advisory.

Prior to joining Evolution, Torey worked as a consultant in Deloitte’s Strategy & Operations practice, where he focused on Corporate Growth Strategy across a variety of industries.
